RES is in the early stages of exploring the potential for a wind farm located approximately 10km south of Farr in the Highlands.

In August 2024 we submitted a Scoping Report to the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit (ECU), which sets out the proposed scope of environmental assessment work and seeks feedback on the plans. For more information, please click here.

We will hold our first public exhibition events in September 2026 as follows:

  • Farr Community Hall, Inverarnie Park, IV2 6AX - Monday 21 September 2026, 1pm - 7pm
  • The Strathdearn Hub, Tomatin, IV13 7YN - Tuesday 22 September 2026, 1pm - 7pm

The events are drop-in at any time.  For those unable to attend the exhibitions in-person, the exhibition boards and feedback form will be available on the website from 21 September 2026.  We will advertise the events in the local press and send invitations to households and businesses in advance of the exhibitions.
